About Authentic Insurance
Authentic builds the infrastructure that program insurance runs on, partnering with brokerages to design and manage custom insurance programs backed by rated carriers. They are a Series A company backed by several investors and have grown significantly in the past year.
What you would do
- Design and implement product features from problem definition to delivery
- Identify bottlenecks and build solutions to improve development speed
- Own problems end-to-end including UX, architecture, performance, and accessibility
- Build polished, responsive interfaces for complex insurance workflows
- Iterate on existing features based on user feedback and product metrics
- Collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions and technical direction
Must have
- 3-5 years building production web applications with TypeScript and React
- Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture and state management
- Experience working across the stack and collaborating on APIs
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to drive work to completion
- Track record of shipping high-quality user experiences without compromising velocity
Nice to have
- Experience with Python backend development
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure
- Experience at a high-growth startup
- Interest in fintech, insurtech, or regulated industries
