This is a senior individual contributor role on the cybersecurity operations team. The position is responsible for the daily operation, tuning, and improvement of the enterprise security toolset, including EDR, SIEM, WAF, and application security testing. The role also leads incident investigations, builds automation, and translates threat intelligence into actionable remediation.

About Allegiant Air

What you would do
- Operate and tune the enterprise EDR platform and investigate escalated detections.
- Develop and maintain custom detections, exclusions, and response policies for EDR.
- Design, build, and maintain automation and orchestration playbooks to reduce manual effort.
- Integrate security tools through APIs to automate context movement between systems.
- Develop, tune, and maintain SIEM correlation rules, dashboards, and alerts.
- Onboard new log sources and validate parsing, normalization, and data completeness.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum six years of experience in information security.
- Minimum two years of project or team lead experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
- Must hold a relevant industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, or OSCP.
- Must have a valid/unexpired passport book.
- Must have a valid/unexpired driver's license.
Nice to have
- Eight or more years of cybersecurity experience, including SOC or incident response.
- Industry certification such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GSEC, CySA+, or vendor EDR/SIEM/identity/cloud certification.
- Experience building security automation and orchestration playbooks integrating tools via APIs.
- Experience operating a threat intelligence program and producing intelligence-driven detections.
- Experience with detection-as-code practices including version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with IAST, RASP, API security testing, or bot and fraud mitigation with a WAF.
- Secure code review ability in web/API development languages and threat modeling familiarity.
