What you would do
- Provide first aid to ill or injured youth including vital signs and wound care
- Maintain medical charts for assigned youth
- Collaborate with consulting medical professionals to address medical needs
- Develop and facilitate health education programs for youth and staff
- Schedule physical exams, dental exams, and other medical appointments for residents
- Coordinate scheduling for psychiatrist and pediatrician
Must have
- High school diploma or GED and RN diploma from accredited nursing school
- Active nursing license in applicable state
- Current valid driver's license
- Complete Crisis Prevention Institute and CPR trainings
- Pass agility and strength evaluation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, occasionally over 100 pounds
- Prolonged walking, standing, running, climbing stairs, physical agility
Nice to have
- At least 6 months experience in pediatric or psychiatric setting
- Experience working in mental health setting
- Experience working with youth or adolescent population
