About Youthopportunity
Youth Opportunity Investments operates Memphis Youth Academy, providing safe, structured care for at-risk youth to help them build life skills and independence through trauma-informed care and positive youth development.
What you would do
- Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects
- Conduct intake physical health assessments and screenings
- Document medical histories and maintain accurate health records
- Provide basic first aid and support emergency medical situations
- Collaborate with doctors, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health staff
- Communicate with guardians, case managers, and outside agencies
Must have
- Active LPN license in Florida
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Willingness to work with youth in challenging situations
- Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds
- Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by state
- Must be able to transport clients
- Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver's license
- Must meet state criminal background check requirements
Nice to have
- 1+ years working in behavioral health, pediatrics, or juvenile residential care
- Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards
