What you would do
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent and episodic medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments
- Perform common procedures including laceration repair and splinting
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain timely, complete, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Must have
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current national certification applicable to the provider's discipline
- Active Texas professional license or ability to obtain one
- Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment
Nice to have
- Family Nurse Practitioner certification for Nurse Practitioner candidates
- DOT Medical Examiner certification or willingness to obtain
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience
- Motivated candidates with relevant clinical training and experience
