What you would do
- Perform ultrasound exams following scanning protocols
- Correct patient history and present studies to physicians
- Assist physicians with procedures and sonographic guidance
- Obtain supplies and monitor patient needs during procedures
- Teach ultrasound techniques to residents, students, and fellows
- Participate in educational programs and conferences for growth
Must have
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic Life Support certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification
- Registered Diagnostic Cardio certification from ARDMS
- Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) certification
- Obtain Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire
- BLS certification must include skills assessment component
