What you would do
- Provide clerical support including phones, scheduling, typing, and filing
- Prepare and maintain clean treatment rooms and sterilize equipment
- Interview patients to gather medical information and update records
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, and diets to patients
- Collect and log laboratory specimens and measure vital signs
- Perform routine lab tests and sample analyses as needed
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire
- BLS certification must include skills assessment component
Nice to have
- Some college or medical assistant school training
