What you would do
- Prepare patients for exams and take histories and vital signs
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, and assist with examinations
- Administer medications per provider orders and phone in pharmacy orders
- Maintain sample medication supply and log all sample medications
- Prepare and maintain clinical supplies and equipment
- Answer telephone, provide information, and screen calls to physician
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- LPN: graduate from accredited school and current state license
- Medical Assistant: current CCMA, CMA, or NCMA certification
- Certification obtained within 90 days of hire if not current
- Current AHA or Red Cross BLS required
- Self-motivated and able to work within established policies
- Ability to sit and stand intermittently 8 to 10 hours daily
- Ability to use standard office equipment including telephone and keyboard
- Work under pressure with near 100% accuracy and inflexible deadlines
- Manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs regularly
- Ability to travel 0-10% including flying and driving rental cars
