What you would do
- Build rapport with residents and foster a safe, supportive relationship
- Guide members during skills-building activities
- Implement individual treatment and positive support plans
- Assist with daily living activities like meals, hygiene, and cleanliness
- Encourage healthy eating, physical fitness, and wellness choices
- Transport residents to activities and medical appointments
Must have
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license from state of residence
- Clean driving record
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Ability to learn beginner level IT skills
- Willingness to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Willingness to implement positive behavior support
- Ability to become DSP, CRMA, and Safety Care certified
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Physical ability to perform Safety Care techniques
