What you would do

  • Provide mental health counseling in ASL to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive care recognizing Deaf culture and identity.
  • Assess mental health, co-occurring disorders, and other behavioral health needs.
  • Develop clinical impressions, treatment plans, and measurable goals.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per standards.
  • Provide case management, advocacy, and care coordination.

Must have

  • Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, or related field.
  • Current Oregon clinical licensure as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) for direct client services.
  • Ability to collaborate with interpreters or communication professionals when needed.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Deaf culture and Deaf identity.
  • Clinical experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Experience with mental health, co-occurring, or substance use concerns.
  • Current BLS certification per American Heart Association guidelines or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Protactile ASL and experience with DeafBlind clients.
  • Experience providing behavioral health services in Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind communities.
  • Experience with trauma-informed and culturally responsive behavioral health services.
  • Experience in integrated healthcare or multidisciplinary behavioral health settings.
