The role
Clarity Partners is hiring a Clinical Documentation Specialist to support a large-scale client-facing project. The role involves improving the quality and completeness of clinical documentation in legal medical records through interaction with physicians, HIM, and coding staff. This is a remote position focused on ensuring appropriate reimbursement and severity of illness/risk of mortality (SOI/ROM) for patient services.

What you would do
- Facilitate documentation through interaction with physicians, HIM, and coding staff
- Educate physicians on clinical documentation needs and guidelines
- Evaluate clinical documents for documentation and reimbursement opportunities
- Perform concurrent acute care medical record monitoring
- Validate accuracy of patient medical record documentation and diagnoses
- Obtain missing information via query when necessary
Must have
- One year of acute care concurrent CDS experience
- CCDS or CDIP credential required
- Experience with concurrent inpatient facility coding
- Experience with acute care medical record review
- Registered Nurse license, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credential
