What you would do
- Visit residents for minor illnesses, injuries, or emergencies
- Consult on health aspects of individual care plans
- Control communicable diseases and infections as needed
- Attend annual conferences for all group home residents
- Train staff on detecting illness signs and administering drugs
- Review medication records, audits, appointments, and labs monthly
Must have
- State licensed LPN in Indiana supervised by an RN
- One year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid nursing license registration
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Preventing Disease Transmission certifications
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Proof of vehicle liability insurance
- Complete Certified Restraint Training
- Complete Medication Administration training Core A and B
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong documentation, record, review, and follow-up skills
- Ability to train and support staff on health procedures
