What you would do
- Assess and report patient physical, social, and environmental needs
- Provide age-specific care to patients aged 18 to 65
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and escorts
- Answer call lights and ensure they are within patient reach
- Assist in managing violent or assaultive patients
- Help place and remove protective devices like restraints
Must have
- High school diploma or GED
- Current BLS certification
- Current CPI certification
- Ability to work with computers
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Visual and hearing ability for patient communication
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and extensive bending
- Ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure
- Ability to handle anger, fear, hostility, and violence
- Ability to work alone and in confined or crowded areas
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work with patients aged 18 to 65
Nice to have
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification
- One year experience in mental health or with cognitive deficits
- Experience with developmentally delayed patients
