What you would do
- Serve as primary contact for a portfolio of law firm clients.
- Review all monthly financial packages before delivery to partners.
- Ensure client files maintain standards and accurate 3-way IOLTA matching.
- Execute severe, backlogged, or out-of-balance trust account cleanups.
- Supervise and mentor new or struggling team members.
- Design and implement training plans to close operational skill gaps.
Must have
- 7+ years progressive accounting experience in professional services.
- At least 2 years supervising accounting staff or managing cross-client operations.
- Direct legal accounting experience with law firm workflows.
- Experience managing at least 30 accounts at once.
- Expert-level understanding of financial statements and variance analyses.
- Expertise in accrual/adjusting entries and trust account cleanup.
- Direct legal vertical experience with IOLTA trust compliance.
- Manage synchronization between cloud accounting and legal practice management software.
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Clio or equivalent.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

- CPA license or active progress toward CPA/Master's designation.
- Experience with multiple bookkeeping systems.
