What you would do
- Manage full-cycle accounting for development and operating real estate projects
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and monthly financial reports
- Own the monthly draw process including package preparation and lender coordination
- Coordinate accounting for property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing
- Manage capital calls and distributions for joint venture partners
- Prepare annual tax packages and coordinate with auditors
Must have
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience with real estate exposure
- Experience with Yardi software
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Self-motivated with strong sense of ownership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Produces precise, high-quality work with attention to detail
- Prioritizes workload and manages competing deadlines
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Seeks opportunities to expand knowledge and expertise
