The role

What you would do
- Lead the full monthly close process end to end
- Oversee consolidation and intercompany reconciliation across 80+ entities
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to inform strategic decisions
- Coordinate annual corporate audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring cycles
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA certification required
- 10+ years progressive accounting or finance experience
- 3+ years as Controller or Assistant Controller
- Experience in real estate, property management, or related industry
- Demonstrated experience in complex multi-entity environment
- Strong GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination knowledge
- Ability to lead and influence without direct reports
Nice to have
- Experience with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar platforms
