What you would do
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and improve efficiency
- Own monthly balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany transactions
- Maintain fixed asset system and record depreciation
- Prepare month-end closing journal entries
- Analyze financial results and identify trends
- Prepare and maintain sales tax compliance in various states
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 4 years of accounting work experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger and month-end close
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Curious mindset to understand the 'why' behind numbers
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Nice to have
- Master's degree in accounting or MBA
- Manufacturing or cost accounting experience
- NetSuite experience
- Experience with Avalara or similar tax software
