What you would do

  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of systems software engineers and principal architects.
  • Own technical direction for pattern matching, regex evaluators, and dictionary compilers.
  • Guide evaluation and performance testing of NER and ML models.
  • Architect multi-threaded C daemons with shared memory and lockless concurrency.
  • Serve as technical escalation authority for critical production issues.
  • Oversee DLP incident streaming, forensic logging, and SIEM/SOAR integrations.

Must have

  • 8+ years systems software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years leadership experience managing software teams.
  • Practical understanding of NER models and runtime limitations.
  • Advanced C programming proficiency on Linux or FreeBSD.
  • Expertise in IPC, shared memory, and POSIX concurrency.
  • Expert-level production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Deep domain expertise in DLP technologies.
  • Experience with regex engines, dictionary compilers, EDM/IDM.
  • Experience with incident streaming and forensics pipelines.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools.

Nice to have

  • Proven ability to leverage AI technologies for operational efficiency.
  • Experience porting or optimizing AI/ML inference workloads.
  • Experience with ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, or quantized NER models.
  • Background developing inline network proxies or DPI engines.
  • Experience with AVX instructions or Hyperscan.
  • Direct experience with FreeBSD kernel internals.
  • Track record driving automated regression testing and CI/CD pipelines.
