What you would do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Build production-ready systems focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Own backend features end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring.
  • Work with distributed systems and event-driven architectures including messaging.
  • Design and implement APIs integrating with internal and external systems.
  • Handle large and complex data flows through backend systems.

Must have

  • 6-7 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with Node.js or similar backend technology.
  • Deep understanding of backend development principles and APIs.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating production applications.
  • Experience with event-driven systems and messaging, particularly Kafka.
  • Experience designing and working with GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Strong understanding of scalability, performance, and system design.
  • Ability to own complex projects from design through production.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions.

  • Experience with NestJS.
  • Strong experience with GCP and cloud-native services.
