The role
This role is a forward-deployed data engineer on the US Launch Team, embedded within high-stakes enterprise client accounts, primarily in Financial Services and Healthcare. The engineer will lead architecture design, modernize legacy systems into cloud-native Lakehouses, and build agentic AI data infrastructure, working closely with Databricks and Anthropic partners. The position requires hands-on coding, client-facing technical leadership, and collaboration with nearshore engineering squads.

What you would do
- Serve as primary technical authority on client engagements.
- Partner with client VP/CTO stakeholders to scope architectures.
- Write and optimize production PySpark, Databricks SQL, and DLT.
- Refactor legacy logic into Medallion Architectures.
- Architect deterministic data harnesses for LLM workflows.
- Write modular Terraform scripts for cloud environment provisioning.
Must have
- Deep proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, PySpark, DLT, Workflows).
- Expert-level experience with dbt for data modeling.
- Expert-level experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Git and Airflow for orchestration and CI/CD.
- Demonstrated background migrating from legacy platforms (Teradata, Netezza, Informatica, Oracle) to cloud.
- Ability to pitch architectures to client CTO and debug alongside junior engineers.
- Ability to translate messy business requirements into clean architectural patterns.
- High autonomy and resilience in a fast-paced, Series A growth environment.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in forward-deployed, technical consulting, or ProServe roles.
- Experience building or deploying LLM/GenAI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Anthropic API).
- Official certifications in Databricks, AWS, GCP, or dbt.
