What you would do
- Assist data scientists and business analysts in understanding business needs for data science solutions.
- Work with various data sources to build analytic models using machine learning techniques.
- Partner with IT to ensure data is sourced correctly for model building.
- Participate in developing project deliverables, especially documentation.
- Interact with data engineers, business analysts, and other roles in a team environment.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data using common analytical tools and statistical techniques.
Must have
- Undergraduate (BS), Masters, or postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science or related field.
- Advanced SQL skills working with RDBMSs such as Oracle, SQL Server.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Skilled in analyzing data with understanding of core statistical and ML algorithms like multi-class classification, decision trees, support vector machine, random-forest, Gradient Boosting.
- Effective communication and story-telling skills to provide insights to business units.
- Energy and enthusiasm.
- Passion for learning and contributing to development.
Nice to have
- Masters degree a plus.
- Experience involving quantitative data analyses for problem solving in US Healthcare industry.
- Experience with predictive, forecasting, and optimization problem solving using Python, R or SAS.
- Knowledge on common data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn, os, etc.).
- Experience with data visualization for analytic models in Rshiny, GGPlot, Qlik, Alteryx, Flask, etc.
