The role

This role is a hands-on individual contributor position on the InfraSec team, responsible for building and securing Harris Associates' cloud foundation on Microsoft Azure using infrastructure-as-code. The engineer will work across identity, networking, compute, and data-platform security, sharing operational rotations for patching and on-call support. The team runs the estate as code with Terraform, Azure Pipelines, and a security-first mindset in a regulated environment.

What you would do

  • Build and manage AI/LLM-based skills and agentic workflows under security review.
  • Share operational rotations for patching and on-call first responder duties.
  • Author and maintain Terraform across multiple repositories, environments, and regions.
  • Provision and govern Microsoft Entra ID with least-privilege design.
  • Design and operate hub-and-spoke cloud networking topology.
  • Provision hardened Azure VMs and build golden Windows Server images with Packer.

Must have

  • 7+ years hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Production-grade experience on a major cloud platform (Azure preferred).
  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills with Terraform or comparable tool.
  • Solid grounding in identity and access fundamentals: RBAC, service principals, least-privilege.
  • Cloud networking expertise: hub-and-spoke topologies, firewalls, routing, DNS.
  • CI/CD delivery experience with Azure DevOps or similar platform.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Bash.
  • Security-first mindset comfortable with change-control and approval gates.
  • Clear written communication skills for documenting decisions and processes.

Nice to have

  • Kubernetes/AKS operations experience with node pools, workload identity, service mesh.
  • Experience with Packer or golden-image build pipelines.
  • Data-platform governance experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI/Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience in a regulated or financial-services environment.
