The role

About gyde
Gyde is building the first AI-native insurance brokerage platform, aiming to automate operations and improve healthcare coverage access. The company acquires traditional brokerages and transforms them into data-driven organizations.
What you would do
- Own the chain from problem to running control, including design, build, and instrumentation.
- Build production TypeScript in shared packages, Temporal workers, and data models.
- Run the cloud platform including EKS, AWS in Pulumi, CI/CD, and observability.
- Evaluate and integrate vendor systems, ensuring permission models are enforced.
- Make security and compliance enforceable with least-privilege IAM and audit trails.
- Own cost as an engineering surface, including LLM and infrastructure spend.
Must have
- 5-10 years in infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps engineering.
- Production Kubernetes experience, EKS preferred.
- Strong AWS fundamentals including IAM, VPC, compute, storage, KMS.
- Infrastructure as code in a real codebase, Pulumi preferred.
- Production TypeScript or Node experience.
- Relational data modeling and SQL, Postgres preferred.
- Built and owned CI/CD pipelines, including deployment and rollback.
- Observability in practice: metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting.
- Experience in HIPAA, SOC 2, or regulated environment.
- A writing habit: design docs, RFCs, or postmortems.
- Fluency with AI coding tools in daily work.
Nice to have
- Durable workflow engines like Temporal.
- Hands-on IdP or SaaS admin experience (Okta, Entra).
- Multi-tenant SaaS or M&A integration work.
- Data warehouse pipelines (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
- LLM infrastructure: gateways, rate limits, spend telemetry.
- Secrets management, policy-as-code, supply chain hygiene.
