What you would do
- Own firmware and connected-system architecture across products
- Design, implement, review, and debug production embedded software in C/C++ on RTOS
- Lead integration across electronics, device UX, wireless, mobile, MQTT, REST, and cloud
- Lead OTA architecture, staged rollouts, rollback planning, and validation
- Diagnose complex field issues using logs, telemetry, analytics, and lab reproduction
- Identify and mitigate product-safety, reliability, cybersecurity, and certification risks
Must have
- 8+ years embedded or firmware engineering experience
- Ownership of system architecture or technical leadership for production products
- Expert-level C/C++ development and strong RTOS concepts
- Experience delivering connected devices from prototype through field operation
- Ownership of firmware releases, OTA delivery, and validation strategy
- Ability to reason about electrical, thermal, control, reliability, safety, cybersecurity risks
- Autonomy of decision making and execution with supporting evidence
- Strong written and verbal communication to align cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, CE, or related field or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience with MQTT, REST, Wi-Fi, BLE, or comparable IoT protocols
- Experience designing robust OTA systems with rollback and staged deployment
- Experience with LVGL or comparable embedded UX frameworks
- Experience integrating embedded products with AWS or comparable cloud services
- Experience with device analytics, observability, and field diagnostics
- Experience with PID or other control systems, thermal systems, or power electronics
- Experience with factory validation, supplier collaboration, and certification testing
- Familiarity with RED, EN 18031, Cyber Resilience Act, or related compliance
